Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What comes around... Photographer Sadie Price is known for her thick skin and infallible instincts. A lofty education has made her skilled in her craft, and a fear of poverty -- and love for Jimmy Choo -- has made her one of the East Coast's most savvy paparazzi. She keeps her exhilarating but sometimes hectic life manageable by staying on the right side of the razor-thin line between celebrity photographers and the stalkerazzi. But all that changes when Sadie locks horns with one of Hollywood's hottest bachelors. ...goes around. Something about Ethan Wyatt's charisma and startling good looks throws Sadie off her game. Something about Sadie's dogged determination -- and a very compromising picture she snaps -- throws Ethan off his. Hatching a scheme befitting the silver screen that made him famous, Ethan sets out to give Sadie a taste of her own medicine. And when her life almost instantly becomes as frenzied as those of the "It Girls" she follows, Sadie starts to see her career, her love life, and Ethan Wyatt in ways she never had before....

Book excerpt: Until the nineteen sixties, proper young women were raised to remain virgins until marriage, to be good mothers and wives, and to depend on husbands for status and economic survival. With the feminist movement, women began to understand they could make decisions regarding their own destiny. Women liked it that they could be equal to men in domestic and public life. Many worked hard to earn that equality. Yet certain issues remain universal - love, controlling partners, career, motherhood and aging - subjects of the stories in this book. Equality, however, has brought its kinks to the story. Join author Barbara Wolfenden in The Accidental Jibe to explore how women might handle common and not-so-common problems. You will be surprised. "These relationship stories are fast-paced and written with beautiful language." Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I never wanted to be a daddy...now I'm left holding a baby! Six months ago, my ex-wife said that she wanted a baby, so I wanted out of our marriage. When I saw her back in town, strolling into a fertility clinic, I had to find out what she was up to. I'm no James Bond, but I followed her into the clinic and sat in the waiting room. I was too distracted to pay attention to the annoying girl next to me who wouldn't stop talking. She announced that she needed to go to the bathroom and I was relieved that she was leaving my side, besides it had nothing to do with me. When my ex-came out of the doctor's office, I jumped up and followed. Until the nurse called me and said I'd forgotten something. I looked back and realized that she was talking about a baby. The girl`s baby. Not mine. The nurse accused me of being with the girl, just because she saw us talking. I made a snap decision...I picked it up and took it home. Now, I’m a daddy by accident, and I have to find the girl, to return her baby. I didn’t want one with my ex, and I certainly don’t want one with a stranger...or do I? Author's Note: Dan is Noah's best friend from the novella, Single Daddy. Book 1 doesn't have to be read to enjoy Book 3. They are all standalone novellas. This novella is short and steamy with enough sexiness for you to enjoy.

Download or read book in PDF Paul Gauguin written by Anna Barskaya and published by Parkstone International. This book was released on 2011-07-01 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Paul Gauguin was first a sailor, then a successful stockbroker in Paris. In 1874 he began to paint at weekends as a Sunday painter. Nine years later, after a stock-market crash, he felt confident of his ability to earn a living for his family by painting and he resigned his position and took up the painter’s brush full time. Following the lead of Cézanne, Gauguin painted still-lifes from the very beginning of his artistic career. He even owned a still-life by Cézanne, which is shown in Gauguin’s painting Portrait of Marie Lagadu. The year 1891 was crucial for Gauguin. In that year he left France for Tahiti, where he stayed till 1893. This stay in Tahiti determined his future life and career, for in 1895, after a sojourn in France, he returned there for good. In Tahiti, Gauguin discovered primitive art, with its flat forms and violent colours, belonging to an untamed nature. With absolute sincerity, he transferred them onto his canvas. His paintings from then on reflected this style: a radical simplification of drawing; brilliant, pure, bright colours; an ornamental type composition; and a deliberate flatness of planes. Gauguin termed this style “synthetic symbolism”.
